It’s been swell.

After a year-and-a-half-long journey over the information super-highway, we’re taking the information super-offramp. This is going to be the last week of Portlyn.

Why now? Well, most pressingly, Alex is leaving Oregon. That’s the kind of thing that puts a serious kink in our concept. And then, after siring 650-something posts and attracting 115,000 daily readers, we’re simply in the mood for something new. (That actually wasn’t true about the 115,000 readers.)

Some thanks are in order. For checking our blog over the past year and a half, for flattering us by occasionally name-dropping it in conversation, for tolerating our semi-daily facebook spamming. We appreciate it immensely. And keep an ear out—you might be hearing from us again soon.
